めざすのは、緑の先にある自然
・・・What we aim at is a richer natural environment.

私たちは、開発や災害により荒廃した斜面、道路法面に樹林を復元してきました。 その成功のカギは、動植物の多様性を生み出す“団粒構造の表土”の再生にあると考えています。 私たちの工法は、小さな技術ではありますが、自然林の復元への確かな一歩であると信じています。

We have revegetated slopes destroyed by development or the natural disaster. We think that the key of success is in reproduction of "the topsoil of aggregated structure" which produces the diversity of animals and plants. Although our method is small technology, we believe that it is a firm step to restoration of natural forests.

団粒構造の表土とは

植物の生育に必要な水、空気、養分を供給できる表土です。 右の図は、単粒構造と団粒構造の模式図です。単粒構造は、砂や重粘土の構造です。 団粒構造は、粒子の集合体(団粒)であり、団粒の内と間に大小様々な間隙が生じます。 小間隙は水もち・養分の保持、大間隙は水はけ・通気のはたらきをします。また、団粒構造中の粘土粒子は、 電気で養分を引き寄せ、莫大な量の養分を保持しています。 団粒内外の間隙は多様な生物のすみかとなります。 自然界では、このような団粒構造は、風・光・水・生物の共同作業によって、長い時間かけてつくられます。

It is topsoil which can supply water, air, and nutrition required for growth of plants. This illustration is a structure of single grained soil and aggregated soil.Sand or havy clay is a single grained soil. Aggregated soil is the assembladge of particles. Therefore, pores of various sizes exist in the space of aggregates and the inside of a aggregate. These pores are macropores and micropores. The macropores are the interaggregate cavities which serve as the principal avenues for the infiltration and drainage of water and for aeration. The micropores are the intraaggregate capillaries responsible for the retention of water and solutes. Moreover, the clay particles in aggregates draw nutrition electrically and hold an immense quantity of nutrition. The macropores and the micropores keep biodiversity. In a nature, such aggregated structures are created by the joint work of a wind, light, water and living things and it takes a long time.

どのように団粒構造を再現するか
・・・How to reproduce the aggregated structure?

高次団粒吹付技術で団粒構造の基盤をつくります。 埴壌土、有機堆肥などに水を混合して泥状化し、これに団粒剤(凝集剤)を攪拌混合して吹付けます。 吹付時にノズル部分で団粒反応が起こり、多くの間隙を含む構造がつくられます。

In 1983, we got an idea of a new method, which is spraying the mixture of required materials in order to create good environments for plant growth. That is reproducing an aggregated vegetation base by spraying. First, the soil, the compost, the stabilizer and water are added into a tank, and they are mixed to make slurry. The flocculant is dissolved in water in another tank. Next, the slurry and the flocculant solution are pumped up to an air-suction-type-mixing nozzle. In the nozzle, the slurry is mixed with the flocculant solution. Consequently, the vegetation base momentarily becomes with the structure of aggregate with the help of air.

土からつくり、種から育てる
・・・Bringing new life to soil, growing plants from seeds.

植物は種子から導入します。 泥状基材と一緒に種子も吹付けるのです。 主に木の種子を使います。 斜面の場合、草の根よりも木の根の方が防災機能が高いと考えられているからです。 また、植えた木(植栽木)よりその場で発芽して生育した木(播種木)の方が、根と根の絡み合いが多く、ネット効果が大きいため、 斜面に適しているといわれています。

We do not use planting methods, we use a seeding method. Seeds are sprayed together with slurry. We mainly use pioneer trees. The reason is that, in the case of a slope, it is considered that a disaster prevention function of the wooden roots is higher than that of grass roots. Moreover, especially on slope revegetation, the seeded trees would be superior to the planted trees in respect of soil reinforcement by plant roots. Because the roots of planted trees tend to gather densely surround the planting hole, and they do not grow to the lower layers. On the other hand, the roots of seeded trees grow deeply down to the lower layers and they are tangled like a net.

私たちは、北海道から沖縄、さらには海外で、地元の会員の手で郷土の緑を復元してきました。 全国47都道府県に置かれたSF緑化工法協会は、地元を代表する建設業者と専業者により組織されています。 郷土の自然を知り尽くした地元の業者が施工します。 私たちは、緑化技術をできるだけ広く公開したいと考えています。 施工実演会と植生見学会を随時行っていますので、お近くで開催される際には、是非お越しください。 これからは、もっと自然な樹林化を目指し、郷土の種子を集めるプロジェクトも進めています。 あなたの播く種が、郷土の緑に、日本の自然になる・・・。 21世紀の緑の環境づくりを私たちと一緒にはじめませんか。

We have restored natural wood of a hometown by local members in all over Japan and also overseas. Each SF Green Method Association is organized by the construction industry companies and specialists representing a hometown. Those who know all the nature of a hometown construct. We think that we wants to exhibit our technology as widely as possible. The construction demonstration meeting and the vegetation inspection meeting are held at any time. From now on we are also advancing the project which collects the seeds of a hometown aiming at more natural afforestation. The seeds which you planted will become woods and become a natural scenery of Japan. Let's begin to restore the natural environment in the 21st century together with us.
